The Ripple legal chief said:
“NCA's mission is to break through the noise and ensure that regular Americans have the information, tools, and assistance they need to interact with cryptocurrency in a secure manner.”
He also asked when cryptocurrency will become widely accepted. It's no longer a question of "if." CEO of Ripple Announced $50M Gift
Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, has announced a $50 million gift from Ripple to support the NCA's operations, proving the industry's strong support for the organization. He explained:
“Crypto has more opportunity than ever before, particularly in the United States. I'm pleased to announce that Ripple will be contributing $50 million to the NCA in order to inform, increase awareness, and highlight the many benefits that cryptocurrency is offering users all around this country.”
Garlinghouse wrote in a post that "crypto has exploded to the mainstream over the last few years." 55 million Americans currently own and use cryptocurrency, and many more are interested in learning more about how, where, and when to use this technology.
He clarified that the NCA, a non-profit, chain-agnostic, non-political organization, is here to support by learning about and increasing public understanding of the many benefits that cryptocurrency technologies are providing to actual people on a daily basis. He stated, "The NCA is not part of Ripple, but we are proud to support it," while restating the organization's independence.
